FAQ

  • Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! We have multiple clinicians who have current availability. Depending on the provider, we offer morning, afternoon, and evening sessions to meet our client needs. We know how difficult it can be at times to find a provider that matches your schedule. At Know Your Worth we work hard to offer times throughout the week that work for you. • What is the cost per session?

The cost per session varies depending on the type of service, provider, and whether you are using insurance or private pay. We accept most major insurance plans, which may help reduce your out-of-pocket costs. If you’re paying privately, rates will depend on the specific service and provider you choose. For more details on pricing and to verify your insurance benefits, please contact our office, and we’d be happy to assist you.

  • Do you take insurance?

We do! We are in network with multiple insurance companies to help meet your therapy needs. Insurances are listed on our Rates & Insurance page. You can check with your insurance company directly to see what mental health coverage you have and what your copay may be as all insurance varies. We are also able to verify your insurance plan when you provide the information to us with your intake paperwork at least 48 hours before your first session. If insurance isn’t verified in advance, the self-pay rate will apply.

  • How often do clients go to therapy?

It depends! All clients come to therapy with different needs. It’s important to our therapists that we meet with you to discuss the length of therapy that you may need. This is a discussion you can have with your therapist during the initial session. We generally suggest clients schedule weekly or biweekly as we get started together.

  • Do you see people for therapy online?

Good news… we are an all virtual practice! We love the flexibility of virtual counseling to meet your needs with scheduling, location, and your comfort level. Our system sends you a personalized link for our virtual video session when you schedule through our website. We see clients virtually from anywhere in Texas!

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We require cancellation 24 hours in advance so that we can schedule with other clients who may be interested in therapy. Our system automatically charges ta $75 fee if the session isn’t cancelled within 24 hours. If you have questions about this, let us know!

  • What is a PMHNP?

A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a specialized healthcare provider trained to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions. PMHNPs can prescribe medication, provide therapy, and develop comprehensive treatment plans to support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and other mental health concerns. They work collaboratively with therapists and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic and effective care for their patients. If you’re considering medication management or a psychiatric evaluation, our PMHNP can help guide you through the process.

  • What can I expect in my first appointment?

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for you and your therapist to get to know each other in a comfortable, judgment-free space. We’ll start by discussing what brought you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. Your therapist may ask about your history, including past experiences, relationships, and coping strategies, to better understand your unique situation. This session is also a time for you to ask any questions and get a feel for the therapy process. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan tailored to your goals, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.

  • What if I don't feel like my therapist is the right fit?

Finding the right therapist is an important part of your journey, and we want you to feel comfortable and supported. If you don’t feel like your therapist is the best fit for you, that’s completely okay! Therapy is a personal experience, and it’s important to work with someone who aligns with your needs and personality. We encourage open communication—if you’re unsure, let us know, and we’ll be happy to explore other options within our practice to find the best match for you. Our priority is ensuring you receive the care and support that feels right for you.
